Attended the Ceremony to Commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

On 6 September 2023, the Ceremony to Commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam was held at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, hosted by Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan Pham Quang Hieu.
On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh solemnly proclaimed the Declaration of Independence, announcing to the world the birth and independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the predecessor to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In the 78 years since the Declaration of Independence, the Vietnamese people have worked tirelessly to safeguard the country’s independence and freedom. We sincerely hope that Vietnam will continue to be surrounded by happiness and prosperity, contribute to world peace and stability, promote international cooperation, and play an active role in world development.
This year again, we shared a meaningful moment listening to the national anthems and raising the Vietnamese and Japanese flags followed by discussions with diplomats and parliamentarians from various countries, as well as many political and educators.
Friendly relations between Japan and Vietnam have never been deeper as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. We are looking forward to the further development of Vietnam-Japan relations.
