Meeting Regarding Educational and Academic Exchange Between Japanese and Vietnamese University Representatives on the Occasion of the Visit of Minister Nguyen Kim Son from the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam

On October 12, 2023, representatives from Vietnamese and Japanese universities gathered at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) headquarters in the heart of Tokyo for a lively discussion on academic exchange（I.e., Joint research) and educational exchange (Including student exchanges and joint seminars). The meeting was organized to coincide with the visit of Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son to Japan.

Nguyen Thuy, the Chair of the AFA, and Professor Rui Takahashi attended the meeting and actively exchanged views with representatives from Vietnamese universities. This was based on the shared recognition that exchanges between Vietnamese and Japanese universities are essential.

 

During the meeting, AFA engaged in substantive discussions with President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of University of Transport and Communications Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long, Vice President of Foreign Trade University Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Vice President of Can Tho University Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, and Director of the Vietnam-Japan Institute for Human Resources Development Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien. We discussed ways to strengthen collaboration between their respective institutions and enhance all aspects of academia for both countries. AFA is committed to providing support for the promotion of academic exchange in the future and will continue to develop concrete plans moving forward.
